May Day, Pt.2

Here are four more covers for the Hawkgirl/Covergirl Collection.

Hawkman #34 (January 2005)

The cover was drawn by Ryan Sook & Dave Stewart.

On the cover we see Hawkman and Hawkgirl fighting mythological beast known as a “Manticore”; however, the real story is what was going on between Carter and Kendra. She seems to be warming to Carter. This is despite that she still has not accepted the reincarnation history of Shiera and Carter.

In the story title, “The Gift”, written by Jimmy Palmiotti & Justin Gray and drawn by Ryan Sook, we see the Hawks attend a costume ball at the museum.

Hawkman #36 (March 2005)

The cover shows Deadman, Hawkman, and Hawkgirl fighting an army of zombies. The title of the story is “The Army of Forgotten Souls”. In the story, Carter’s dead girlfriend, Domina Paris, has come back to life as a zombie, Deadman possesses the body of a voluptuous young woman and he helps out the Hawks in their fight against an army of zombies, and  the final pages, show Satana, the Tiger Girl and one of her zoological freaks.

There is some girl-on-girl action with Hawkgirl fighting Satana, the Tiger Girl

Later we see Hummingbird has been captured by some monstrosity in India. Then we get a look at a Thanagarian spaceship. Golden Eagle attempts to kiss Hawkgirl in a forcible manner. As they start to get into a knock-down drag-out fight, Hawkman shows up. He tells Golden Eagle: “You and I have unfinished business!”
